Closing date: Applications for scholarships must be submitted during the 1st phase of the admissions process. For bachelor’s degrees, the 1st phase runs from February 13 to March 12, 2025; for master’s degrees, from February 26 to March 31, 2025.

Value of scholarship:

  • Merit awards: 50% reduction in the annual tuition fee for students with an application grade of 16 or higher (on a scale of 0 to 20).
  • Development Cooperation Incentives: Additional tuition fee reductions for students from developing countries, in accordance with existing cooperation agreements.
  • AUIP Scholarship Program: Scholarships for students from institutions associated with the Ibero-American Postgraduate University Association (AUIP).
  • IPLeiria Global Academy Awards: Incentives awarded on the basis of specific criteria defined annually by IPLeiria.

The Polytechnic Institute of Leiria offers a diverse range of scholarships for international students, aimed at recognizing academic merit and supporting those in financial need. Eligibility:

  • To be an international student (not from the European Union).
  • Have been admitted to one of IPLeiria’s study cycles.
  • For Merit Awards, submit an application grade of 16 or higher.
  • For the Development Cooperation Incentives, come from a country with which IPLeiria has cooperation agreements.
  • For the AUIP Scholarship Program, you must be a student at an AUIP member institution.

  2. Submit the application for the desired study cycle during the 1st phase of the admission process.
  3. After admission, apply for the corresponding scholarship, according to the instructions provided by IPLeiria.
