Description: The Gulbenkian New Talents Scholarships program aims to identify and support the talent of exceptional students and encourage them to pursue research in the areas of basic sciences: biology, geology, physics, mathematics and chemistry, and in any area of the humanities, including arts and social sciences. The scholarships also include an immersive talent enrichment program, with 2 scientific retreats over the weekend, tutorials with a university professor of recognized merit and monitoring by a Scientific Committee. The aim is to create an opportunity to transform potential talent into exceptional and innovative performance.
Eligibility:
Applications are open to students who:
- Will be enrolled in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a bachelor’s degree or integrated master’s programme, or in the 1st year of a master’s degree, during the 2025/2026 academic year at a higher education institution in Portugal.
- Have an average grade of 16.5 or above (on a 20-point scale) in the curricular units they have already completed.
