Description: This scholarship aims to support students enrolled in public or private higher education institutions across Portugal. With monthly payments, it ensures financial stability throughout the academic year. Special provisions are available for humanitarian emergencies, working students, and individuals with limited financial resources.
The +Superior Programme is a measure that aims to encourage and support the attendance of higher education in regions of the country with less demand and less demographic pressure by economically disadvantaged students who are habitually resident in other regions.
The +Superior Programme seeks to contribute to territorial cohesion by setting young people in those regions and to the pursuit of the Portugal 2020 targets for the number of young people with higher education.
Eligibility:
Students who cumulatively meet the following requirements are eligible for a new Higher Education scholarship:
- They must have enrolled and registered, in the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded, at an institution located in a NUTS III covered by the Higher Education Program;
b) They must have applied for a social action scholarship in higher education by the date of the application for the grant;
c) They must have been awarded a social action scholarship in higher education, in the academic year in which the scholarship is awarded;
d) They must have habitual residence in Portugal in a municipality not covered by NUTS III where the organic unit of the higher education institution in which they are enrolled and registered is located;
e) They must not have had a Higher Education scholarship awarded to them in a previous academic year cancelled or annulled.
