Description: The UNSW International Student Award is available to eligible students from lower income and developing countries who would not otherwise have the opportunity to undertake studies at a highly ranked Australian university. The Award is open to all commencing students with defined citizenships enrolled full time in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.
Eligibility:
a) To be eligible for the Award, applicants must be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003.
b) Applicants must hold citizenship of a country listed in Attachment A. Proof of citizenship will be required.
c) Applicants must have an offer of admission for a new undergraduate or postgraduate
coursework degree at UNSW to be offered the Award.
d) The Award is not applicable to students studying any program offered by AGSM, UNSW Online, UNSW Canberra or Study Abroad, UNSW Foundation Program and Transition Program Online students.
e) The Award is only applicable to degrees where tuition fees are payable to UNSW.
f) The Award is only applicable to coursework degrees. In the case of a combined coursework and research degree, the Award is only applicable to the coursework component of the combined degree.
g) The Award is applicable to new students commencing in an eligible term where the Award is offered. Students who have completed an undergraduate program at UNSW and are commencing a postgraduate program will be considered a new student for the purposes of the Award.
