Scholarship value: £5,000 to £8,000 (for first year of study only)

  • Students who are domiciled in or nationals of the USA or Canada are eligible for a scholarship of £5,000.
  • Students who are domiciled in or nationals of India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil or Türkiye are eligible for a scholarship of £6,000.
  • Students who are domiciled in or nationals of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, or Egypt are eligible for a scholarship of £8,000.

Description: York is offering scholarships to international postgraduate students to help them excel.

Eligibility:

  • Open to students from USA, Canada, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Türkiye, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Egypt.
  • To be eligible for a Global Impact Masters Scholarship, you must:

– have a conditional or unconditional offer to study at the University of York by 31 August 2026

– be paying fees at the overseas fee rate (any fee assessments must be completed by 31 August 2026)

– intend to study a full-time postgraduate taught course

  • You will not be eligible if:

– you hold a 100% tuition fee scholarship or are fully sponsored

– you are a partnership student coming to study at York on an approved partnership agreement.

  • Students on the following pathways are not eligible for these scholarships:

– Hull York Medical School

– MSc Nursing (Mental Health) and MSc Nursing (Adult)

– International Pathway College

– Distance and online learning courses

– Part-time courses

– Partnership and exchange students (including visiting students)

– Kaplan International College London

– MA Public Policy (Mundus MAPP)

– LLM Professional Legal Practice (SQE1 and SQE2)

– Postgraduate Research courses

– PGCert courses
