Description:
Youth Allowance is financial support for young people aged 16 to 24 who are studying full-time, undertaking an Australian Apprenticeship, or looking for work. It helps cover living expenses and education-related costs.

  • Enrolled full-time in study or apprenticeship, or job seeker
  • Meet Australian residency requirements
  • Satisfy income and assets tests
  • Undertake an approved course at an approved education provider

  • Create a myGov account linked to Centrelink
  • Submit an online claim through Centrelink portal
  • Provide required documentation and follow application prompts
