Agbami Medical and Engineering Professional Scholarship

Study area: Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, and all Engineering fields

Scholarship value: ₦200,000 annually for medical students; ₦100,000 annually for engineering students

Description:
The Agbami Medical and Engineering Professional Scholarship, sponsored by Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited (a Chevron company) and its partners, supports Nigerian undergraduate students in medicine and engineering fields. Launched in 2012, this initiative aims to promote academic excellence and provide financial assistance for educational materials and tuition fees. Thousands of students have benefited, strengthening the nation’s capacity in these critical fields.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen;
  • Enrolled full-time in an accredited Nigerian university;
  • Currently in 100 or 200 level;
  • Studying Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, or Engineering disciplines;
  • 100-level applicants must score at least 60% in JAMB UTME;
  • 200-level applicants must maintain a CGPA of at least 60% (3.0/5 scale);
  • Must not currently hold any scholarship funded by Chevron, Shell, NNPC, or similar organizations.

How to apply:

  1. Visit the official portal: scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami;
  2. Click on “Apply Now” and create an account using your email and personal details;
  3. Activate your account, log in, and fill in your personal details, academic background, and referee information;
  4. Upload scanned documents, including:
    • Recent passport photo with a white background;
    • Admission letter (from school or JAMB);
    • Original JAMB UTME result;
    • O’Level result;
    • Birth certificate;
    • Certificate of state origin;
    • School ID card;
    • First-year academic transcript;
    • Recommendation letter from your department head.
  5. Review and submit your application.
