Description:
The Gani Fawehinmi Annual Scholarship is established in honor of the late Nigerian human rights lawyer and activist, Chief Gani Fawehinmi. It aims to support academically gifted Nigerian students pursuing studies in Law and social sciences, encouraging commitment to justice and social equity. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover tuition fees, books, and some living expenses. It also promotes advocacy and human rights awareness among recipients.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen;
  • Enrolled full-time in an accredited Nigerian university;
  • Studying Law or related social science fields;
  • Demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum CGPA of 3.0/5.0;
  • Show commitment to human rights, justice, or community service;
  • Not currently receiving another full scholarship.

How to apply:
Applicants are required to submit a completed application form (available through sponsoring organizations or university faculties), academic transcripts, a personal statement explaining their interest in law and human rights, and letters of recommendation. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview.
