The International Student Entrance Scholarship aims to reduce the first-year tuition burden for high-achieving international undergraduate students, helping them access and afford a University of Waterloo education.The university uses this award to recruit and enroll highly qualified international students from around the world, strengthening its academic community and global reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You need to be enrolled full-time (three or more courses) in your first and second terms at Waterloo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to continue to be an international fee-paying student. If your residency status changes either before or during the term, and\/or if you&#8217;re no longer required to pay the higher international study permit tuition fees, you&#8217;ll no longer be eligible to receive the scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The scholarship is not available to the following students.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>-Medical Sciences (Waterloo) and Doctor of Medicine (St. George&#8217;s University) students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Bachelor of Social Work, Doctor of Optometry, Doctor of Pharmacy students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Transfer students admitted with transfer credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Students who deferred their admission from September&nbsp;2025 to September 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Students enrolled in a 2+2 and other similar x+y&nbsp;programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apply Here:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/uwaterloo.ca\/future-students\/financing\/international-scholarships\">https:\/\/uwaterloo.ca\/future-students\/financing\/international-scholarships<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Closing date: Applicants can apply anytime Student type: International students Level of study: All levels of study(first-year degree studies ) Study area: Any Scholarship value: Up to $10,000 Description: International fee-paying students admitted to full-time, first-year degree studies starting in September 2026 will receive $10,000 for their first-year studies.
