- CAD $10,200: For college, undergraduate, or graduate students (master’s and PhD) for a minimum of 4 months or one academic term of study or research.
- CAD $12,700: For graduate students (master’s and PhD) for 5 to 6 months of study or research.
Description:
The Study in Canada Scholarships program is funded by Global Affairs Canada to foster exchanges and collaboration between Canada and countries across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. It provides financial support for short-term exchange programs at Canadian post-secondary institutions.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be citizens of one of the following regions/countries:
- Asia: Bangladesh, Nepal, Taiwan
- Europe: Turkey, Ukraine
- Middle East and North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda
- Must be enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in their home country throughout the exchange program.
- Must not hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency, or be applying for permanent residency in Canada.
- Must not be already enrolled in a Canadian degree, diploma, or certificate program.
- Cannot hold concurrent Canadian government-funded scholarships.
How to apply:
- Contact the international office of your home institution to verify if they have an exchange agreement with a Canadian post-secondary institution.
- Applications must be submitted on your behalf by the Canadian host institution through the My EduCanada portal.
- Prepare necessary documents, including academic transcripts, a study or research plan, letters of recommendation, and proof of citizenship.
- Ensure all application steps are completed before the deadline.
