Scholarship value:

l Courses of 12 months duration or longer – $7,500 per year for up to three years, paid bi-annually

l Courses of 6 months duration – $5,000

Description: The Patricia Stanley Bolch Scholarship honors the late Patricia Stanley Bolch. In her quiet and determined demeanour, Patricia understood how profoundly education can change the course of one’s life for the better, not only for the individual but for those around them.  She grew up in Archies Creek (rural Vic) and later in Narre Warren during the 1930’s and 40’s in a family that believed in education.

The scholarship will support one student from a regional or rural area, who has experienced hardship (or special considerations for their course entry), studying either Vocational Education or Undergraduate level to achieve their qualification at Swinburne.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Patricia Stanley Bolch Scholarship, applicants must:

· Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or holder of a permanent humanitarian visa

· be a commencing first year Swinburne student in 2024

· enrolled full time in an eligible course  

· studying on-campus

· Demonstrate that you have relocated from a rural or regional area in order to study at Swinburne

· Have experienced hardship or have special consideration for course entry
