Description: Established in 2021 by the University of Otago using a bequest from the late Miss Ida G White, the Scholarship is named in memory of her brother, the late Mr James Renfrew White, who was a graduate of the Otago Medical School, Director of Orthopaedic Surgery for the Otago Hospital Board and Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Otago from 1920 to 1948.
Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
•admitted to the University of Otago.
•a 3rd or 5th year student intending to enrol for the Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours degree in a surgical discipline;
• preference will be given to students with an Orthopaedic Surgery research topic
